Overview

Crown Gardens love this fabulous old Victorian Gate House located in central Brighton. 15 minutes walk from Brighton Station and no more than 20 minutes to the city centre. There are 2 double bedrooms, one twin room and a double sofa bed in the living area, giving this wonderful house the capacity to sleep up to 8 guests.

You really will be spoilt with the fabulous wood burning stove in the living room,  cooking on a farmhouse AGA and a fire pit in the garden. Beautiful feature spiral staircase too!

North Lodge is the last original building from the Stanford estate in Brighton and was the North Gate House to the Manor House, built in 1880. The property sits in ¼ acre, near the centre of Brighton. Over the years it has had some eccentric owners and many an old cabbie will tell you stories of its residence.

Access Information

2 storey house, with spiral staircase up to first floor. All three bedrooms and the bathroom are on the first floor.

Please exercise caution when using the spiral staircase with young children.

We enjoyed our stay very much and appreciated the well equipped kitchen and vast choice of DVD's (a great novelty when one comes from a country where they are not easily available in English). It was a delight to stay in such a well kept, clean and welcoming house, to be honest we were reluctant to leave. The facilities were excellent and Rob Miller, who met us at the house was very helpful, especially when we couldn't work out how to make the CD player work (this had nothing to do with the fact that we were all female techno-phobics!) From the time I made the booking to the day we left, I found Crown Gardens to be very informative and helpful.
