Local delights
Eastbourne has a wide beach and lovely, smooth promenade, suitable for a pleasant wander in the sun. West of the beach you can take a short but hilly walk from town to Beachy Head, giving you magnificent views across the sea, and dramatic views from the sea back to land.
If you enjoy walks, Eastbourne is an excellent place to start or finish a walking holiday, being a gateway on to the South Downs National Park, where you can enjoy some of the best countryside in the south east. You can walk the South Downs Way from here, or make up your own route and find some fabulous country pubs along the way.
