Beneath The Sea Hen Party Theme
Under the sea Hen Party
With beautiful mermaid-themed interiors, Mermaid House can sleep 16 people and is close to all the central attractions in Brighton and Brighton Marina.
Or how about Darling by the Seaside? Moments from the beach and a great base for a visit to Brighton. This fantastic property is situated in the heart of fashionable Kemp Town, just across the road from the seafront. Local brasseries, antique shops, trendy coffee houses, pubs and restaurants are just around the corner and it’s a short stroll to the centre of Brighton.
Mermaid hen party outfits
How mermaid do you want to go? Do you want to flip round town in a mermaid tail, or just add a touch of glitter to create a mermaid effect?
Shells are an essential accessory for a mermaid outfit. Shell bras, shells in the hair, a shell handbag, or jewellery are all options. If you are feeling creative, then try one of our fabulous Mermaid Crown Workshops.
There are some fabulous mermaid outfits available online. If you already have long hair, pop in the curlers and use some hair chalk to add shades of blue and green. If you don’t then a mermaid wig, or hair extensions will give you some flowing locks for the night.
Mermaid and under the sea makeup is all about the sparkles. If you want glittery makeup to stay on for a long time, prosthetic glue will keep it firmly in place. Blue, green and purple face paints will also add a dramatic, mermaid-effect. Long false eyelashes will bring out the Disney princess in you and complete the look.
It is no good just looking the part, you have to act the part too. At Crown the Hen we organise hen weekends in Brighton and Bournemouth, two perfect locations for under the sea hen parties.
You can try your hand at sailing, kiteboarding and coasteering. Or, if you are feeling really adventurous, learn to control a zap cat.
For more mellow hens there is the option of hiring a party boat, or simply lazing on the beach on a sunny afternoon. Take a look at all our hen activities here.
