Brighton Festival News
Aung San Suu Kyi has fought passionately for democracy in Burma and this year we will be celebrating themes of freedom of expression, liberty and the power of the individual voice in society - most apt for such a forward thinking city as Brighton & Hove.
Here at the Crown Gardens office things are exceptionally busy, even more than usual especially now with the run up to the Brighton Festival that takes place every year in May. Full details can be found at the official Brighton Festival website and some fantastic info provided by Brighton Visitor.
The Brighton Fringe Festival runs alongside the main event since its creation in 1967.The Fringe has over 600 events taking place in over 230 locations across the city. Everything from street theatre to burlesque happens in its very own innovative, creative and anarchic fashion which attracts audiences and artists from all over the world! We love it...
The open house season is also in preparation. This May celebrates the 30th Year of the Artists Open Houses and is the biggest festival yet with over 250 venues taking part citywide. One of our favourites is Mia Underwoods "Into the Woods." This year Mia has a pop up shop packed full with gorgeous arts and crafts at 8 Grantham Road, Brighton, BN1 6E.
