New Year In Brighton
Where better than to round off 2015 and begin 2016 than in Brighton. New Year in Brighton is set to be one of the biggest celebrations around the country, with great things to do to suit everyone who is visiting. Here’s just a taste of what Brighton has to offer you:
There are plenty of opportunities to get dressed up and head out for a night that you will remember around Brighton this year. What about a Masked Ball, or a black tie event? You could enjoy a 5 Course Dinner midnight champagne at Stanmer House New Year's Eve Party themed 'Moulin Rouge'.
Whatever your musical tastes, there is something happening to start your year in musical heaven. From the ultimate Soul and Motown night out at Coral Brighton Hove Greyhound Stadium with ‘New Year’s Eve with The Soul Survivors’, to The New Year’s Eve Viennese Gala at the Brighton Dome bringing you an extravaganza of Strauss classical perfection, and everything in between.
If you want to club the night away all of the top clubs have their New Year offerings, including Pump Up The Jam NYE at The Tempest Inn. A wonderful setting to celebrate everything 90’s music, with a great atmosphere, and you can even dance your way through until 8am at the Treatment NYE All Nighter at The Arch, with a whole night of top House DJ’s.
If theatre is more your style, you could head out to see Richard O’Brien’s cult rock ‘n’ roll musical comedy….The Rocky Horror Show at the Theatre Royal Brighton. Of if you are on a family break, Jack & The Beanstalk – Christmas Panto! Is on at the Ropetackle Arts Centre…..oh yes it is!
If you want to laugh your way into the next year, head to the Brighton Dome for some satirical stand up comedy at Treason Show Christmas Special: That Was The Year That Was 15. Or, if you want to go all out, you could head to Viva Las Vegas! At the Grosvenor Casino Brighton for a night of cabaret, burlesque, show girls, and maybe some winning!
If you are looking for a more refined evening, you may want to head to one of the amazing restaurants in the area, to eat truly wonderful dishes whilst enjoying their celebrations. If you want the experience of fine dining, but don’t want to leave your holiday accommodation, you could even order food in.
Or you may be coming to have an early night ready to hit the shopping sales as soon as they begin, wanting to grab a bargain from the wonderful boutiques in the area.
There’s plenty for children to do as well, with skating at the Royal Pavillion Ice Rink, and fun exhibitions such as ‘Exotic Creatures’ again at The Royal Pavilion showing animals in the Royal Collection, menageries and early zoos. Sure to keep everyone happy. You’ll be back for another stay in no time!
