Rottingdean Smuggler's Night

For two hundred years from the mid-seventeenth century, the Rottingdean gang of smugglers ran contraband cargo from landing sites nearby. The goods included brandy, “hotlands” gin, tea, coffee, spices and a range of other highly prized goods. 

From 3.00pm to 9.00pm The High Street will be Closed

Refreshments will be served throughout the village :
Hot Chestnuts – Nevill Road & White Horse, WI refreshments – Village Hall, Hog Roast – The Queen Victoria, BBQ – Barclays Bank, Queen Victoria, Nevill Road and High Tides
Mulled wine and Festive treats Rottingdean boutiques and shops

12-2pm at Our Lady of Lourdes and 4pm – 6pm St Aubyns School :

Same Sky artists will be running FREE torch shaped lantern workshops
4pm Village Hall : Willo-the -Wisp family event, pirate face painting, dressing up and mini pirate boat. Phillip Sugg and his amazing Smugglers puppet theatre. Sponsored by Rottingdean Lions.
